It wasn’t your fault that you were born in the Gandhi family and if you had an option to reverse it, I’m sure you will not think twice to return the silver spoon.

You are labeled as Pappu, a failed Dynast, the loser Gandhi and what not. You are being made a joke out of everything that you say, everything that you do, everything that you attempt to do. You are the constant target of fake news and trolls because people enjoy making fun of you.

But as a wise man once advised to wear the insults like armour, you did the exact same thing. Your approach of love and compassion towards the critics that attack you is the hopeful winning formula. You are here to fight against hatred and violence. The world needs more leaders like you, Rahul.

The mid-night before you were named the vice president of the party, you woke up to find your mother crying. She, who had already lost her husband was giving you the slow poison in the form of power. You understand that “Power is Poison” and you cannot run away from it.

It was a long tiring campaign you did last month, you fought hard and you fought well but you still lost. India chose Modi to lead her but it doesn’t mean you are any less capable. Congress is a 150-year old party with some traditional values and is built with Mahatma’s ideologies of love, truth, and affection. And it’s roots are so deep that it doesn’t need to fear the wave or storm.

As you said once that we can fight someone with all our might, but hatred is a choice. You choose love over hatred as your weapon, but somehow it isn’t strong enough. You fought and you lost, you fought again and you lost again, you will fight again and you may well lose again. But you keep fighting, Rahul. For what is right, for the good and for the ideologies of Mahatma to remain alive in the hearts of people, you must keep fighting.

I wish you fight and lose a thousand times over a victory and settle for once.

In the eyes of the world, you might be worthless. But your fighting spirit and questioning practice to the government is the reason our democratic values are not broken yet. You have a big responsibility ahead and there are people who still believe in you and follow you. More trolls, more hatred, and more anger await you, but you need to stay strong like how you have always been.

Good luck, Rahul.
