As Jay Asher says, a lot of us care, but not just enough!

Hannah, you’re beautiful, smart and a straight forward girl. It’s hard to believe people don’t listen to you, so you had to make those audio-tapes. I wish there would’ve been some way out. I wish you hadn’t had to kill yourself. I know losing a good friend is never easy. We all go through that at some point in time of our life. The friends we trust the most are the ones who betray us, the ones we share our deepest feelings and secrets are the ones who end up exposing us. And it hurts real bad.

You are what every girl go through in their school/college. You aren’t the only one who wants to kill herself amidst insults, humiliations, bullying, torture — physically /mentally and sabotaging emotionally. I know a lot of girls go through the trauma of sexual assaults on a daily basis. The story of your life fills in every girl’s diary who is ambitious yet simple at heart, who likes candies, blue nail polish, and reading and writing poetry. It’s the biography of every other simple girl with simple dreams and ambitions.

I feel sorry for you Hannah, for everything you went through and that it did not get you ironed-out solace. And I feel sorry for all other girls who go through what you went through. And if I’m in it for “justice”, it snaps out on a reality check that this injustice is happening for real. It’s looking straight in the eye to dissolve the line between fiction and real life. I don’t know how to help apart from being a good supportive person.

As they say, there’s a silver lining in everyone’s world, you had one in Clay Jensen. I wish we all have a loyal friend like Clay who is not like the other guys. He is not judgemental and would do anything for you. There are so many things I admire in you, Hannah, but that damn smile is where it all started. There are only a handful of people who kill me with the smile, you stand second.

Would you like to dance with me someday? I’m not really good at dancing, but definitely better than Clay.

Thank you for everything, Hannah.
You will be missed and loved
